Terms of Service

About the service

Warp Hosting is operated by Warp Studios Pty Ltd. We provide managed game-server hosting, control tools, storage and related support. Some games or locations may remain unavailable until technical, infrastructure, publisher or licensing requirements are satisfied.

Accounts

You must provide an email address you control, keep access to that email secure and use the service lawfully. You are responsible for people you authorise to operate your servers. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, infrastructure, game communities or third parties.

Billing

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST for Australian customers. Customers outside Australia are not charged GST and pay the same price.

Paid services use a fixed plan billed every 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Servers are prepared only after payment is confirmed. Shared fixed plans are charged upfront and renew for the same period unless cancelled before renewal. Dedicated monthly plans renew monthly; Dedicated 3, 6 and 12 month prepaid terms are one-off payments, begin at access handover and do not renew automatically. Current prices, discounts and material limits are shown before purchase. Taxes and payment terms will be displayed at checkout.

Money-back promise

If you are new to Warp Hosting and not happy with your first Shared game server, contact support within 72 hours of its first payment, by email to contact@warpstudios.com.au or through the chat on our website, and we will refund that payment in full to the original payment method. This includes a prepaid 3, 6 or 12 month first payment, and a first payment made with a discount code.

The promise applies once per customer, to the first game server ordered on their account. It does not cover renewals, later servers, Dedicated machines, or accounts suspended for breaching these terms. When the refund is made, the server and its subscription are closed and access to it ends, so download any world or files you want to keep before asking. Banks usually show a refund within 5 to 10 business days. This promise is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Refer a friend

Once you have paid for a server, your dashboard's Billing page shows your referral code and link. A friend who has never paid Warp Hosting gets 15% off the first payment of their first Shared game server with it, once per account; it can't be combined with another code. When your friend's first payment has passed the 72-hour money-back window without being refunded or disputed, you receive A$10 of credit.

Credit comes off your next Shared game server renewal automatically, never more than that renewal costs, and anything left carries over to later renewals. It doesn't apply to Dedicated machines. Credit has no cash value, can't be transferred or withdrawn, and ends if your account is closed. You can't use your own code, and credit gained by referring yourself or through other misuse may be removed. We may change or end the program; credit you have already earned stays yours to use.

Dedicated hardware

Dedicated machines are offered in Perth and France and are limited to the stock shown at checkout. In Perth, after successful payment, the machine is prepared automatically: Warp Hosting’s systems create a Windows administrator account for the order with a long, randomly generated password and check that it works. The password is stored encrypted and is never emailed. The customer opens it once from the order page while signed in to their Warp Hosting account, and it cannot be shown again, so it should be saved in a password manager straight away. If it is lost, contact Warp Hosting support. Preparation is normally complete within a few minutes. In France, Warp Hosting prepares the machine after payment and emails the access details when it is ready; a prepaid term starts at handover. If hardware cannot be supplied, Warp Hosting will contact the customer and arrange a refund or another agreed outcome.

Your worlds and content

You retain your rights in worlds, configuration and other content you upload. You give us the limited permission needed to store, copy, back up, restore and transmit that content to operate the service. You must have the right to use uploaded mods, files and server software. We may remove malicious, illegal or infringing content.

Game and platform rules

You must follow the applicable game publisher, platform, mod and community rules. Game names, logos and artwork belong to their respective owners. Warp Hosting is not endorsed by listed publishers unless explicitly stated.

Uptime guarantee

Every Shared game server and Dedicated machine, in every location (Perth, Sydney, France and US Central), is covered by a 99.95% monthly uptime guarantee. Uptime means the hardware your service runs on and its network connection are up and reachable, as measured by Warp Hosting’s monitoring and shown on the status page. For a Dedicated machine the guarantee starts at handover. If your service’s uptime falls below 99.95% in a calendar month, you can claim a service credit against your next payment: 10% of the monthly fee below 99.95%, 25% below 99.5%, and 50% below 99%. For a prepaid term, the monthly fee is the term’s price divided by its months. Email support within 30 days after the month ends to claim it. Credits apply to future payments, are not paid out in cash, and are capped at 50% of the monthly fee.

The guarantee does not cover: maintenance announced on the status page at least 48 hours before it starts (no more than 4 hours in a month); problems caused by the game itself, game or platform updates, mods, plugins, scripts or your own configuration; your actions or those of people you give access to; attacks beyond what our DDoS protection can absorb; suspension for unpaid invoices or breaches of these terms; or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in this guarantee limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Data protection

We take automatic backups and offer safe-stop workflows, but game updates, attacks and hardware failures can still put data at risk. Keep independent exports of worlds that are critical to you.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for attacks, malware, fraud, unauthorised access, rights infringement, prohibited monetisation, unlawful content or activity that materially harms other customers or infrastructure. Do not bypass limits, probe other tenants or share infrastructure credentials.

Liability and Australian consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, liability for services that are not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use may be limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of doing so. We are not responsible for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable. Questions can be sent to contact@warpstudios.com.au.
