Satisfactory guide

How to upload your Satisfactory save to a dedicated server

Satisfactory has this built in: the game's Server Manager uploads a save straight from your PC. Here's how, and where the save is if you'd rather use the file manager.

Claim your server

  1. Set the admin password. In your server's Settings, set the Admin password and press Save configuration. It claims the server for you.
  2. Add it in the game. In Satisfactory, open Server Manager from the main menu, add a server with the address and port from your dashboard, and sign in with that password.

Upload your save

  1. Open Manage Saves. In Server Manager, select your server and open Manage Saves.
  2. Upload the save. Choose to upload a save, and pick yours from the saves on your PC.
  3. Load it. Select the save and load it. Your factory is now the server's session.

Or use the file manager

Satisfactory keeps saves in %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames, in a folder named with a long number. Each .sav file is one save, and autosaves are numbered _autosave_0 to _autosave_2. Pick the newest.

Upload it in Files & SFTP to Saved/SaveGames (files up to 96 MB in the browser), or over SFTP to Saved/SaveGames/server. Then load it from Manage Saves.

Satisfactory questions

Good to know.

Can I upload a single-player save?

Yes. Single-player and multiplayer saves are the same kind of .sav file, and the server loads either.

Does uploading replace my current factory?

No. It adds a save. The factory only changes when you load it, and the server's other saves stay in Manage Saves.

Does the factory keep running when nobody's on?

Not by default: Pause when empty is on in Settings, so the factory waits for players. Turn it off to keep it running.
